Sue Comber

Sue started her career in PR and Communications, but has been in the voluntary sector for 23 years. Her career has included management of fundraising departments for 5 national charities. Sue was responsible for a Gold Award winning project with Barclays, and initiated the Hunter “Giving Welly” campaign, which was awarded a Big Tick from BIC and then taken it into the US and Ireland. She has been a Trustee for over 5 years and is therefore able to manage the relationships between Board and staff to greater mutual benefit. She specialises in capital appeals but has a good all round knowledge of all aspects of the fundraising mix.

Sandy Gravette

Following a successful career in marketing in the private sector, Sandy has built eighteen years of fundraising expertise specialising in raising funds from charitable trusts, the lottery and statutory sources. She learnt her trade at some of the UK’s leading fundraising charities including the British Red Cross, NCH and Scope and has built trust fundraising programmes at smaller national and local charities such as St Mungo’s, Trinity Hospice and Action for ME.

Sandy’s successes have included leading a team of trusts, lottery and statutory fundraisers at the Princess Royal Trust for Carers to deliver £1.8 million revenue funding in support of carers’ services. In fours years, she tripled income and personally secured three Big Lottery bids, including a bid to the BASIS programme for £1m+ revenue.

Jackie Mendoza

Jackie has more than 16 years’ commercial sales, marketing and voluntary sector fundraising experience. She started her career in the sector as a Corporate Partnerships Account Manager and worked through to Director level for a range of charities including Age Concern England, Victim Support, Breast Cancer Care, Kids, Rethink and Childhood First. Jackie’s strengths lie in managing change, kick-starting or trouble-shooting income streams and setting up fundraising functions. Her specialisms include new business development, corporates, major donors and change management as well as an increasing interest in digital and social media.
